I don't see how a 1969 Suburban harness can be different than that of a 71-72... They have the same light and fuel gauge wiring as your 1969.

I know that when I purchased a new rear harness, the main plug that goes to the fuse panel plug had to be pinned by me. Since you had to fish it through the A pillar, perhaps someone pinned the plug prior to shipping not thinking about it?
