Steering shaft spring needed?
So I'm running a '72 auto shaft in my '65 column. Lengthened the shaft, and replaced the rag joint with a Borgeson u-joint.
Is the spring located between the intermediate shaft and column end needed? |

Re: Steering shaft spring needed?
I think it is there to keep pressure (slight) on the lower column bearing so it don't shift/slide out.
