speedometer install
I ordered my new speedometer. 5" Autometer Pro-comp, just the 160 MPH though. My question is now how do I get a speedometer cable for it? I need it threaded on both ends. Will the one Swervin used on his fit mine? Most auto parts stores around here rely solely on their little computer and need model year and all that. They do not list a universal cable. Any suggestions? Pull the old one out and take it with me and have them measuer it and look for one that is threaded on both ends?

Gary,
yes the one I used will work with your speedo. You have the same speedo I do. I got mine at NAPA, part number 6151603. It works great but could be a few inches shorter. Take your old cable and have them get one with screw ends close to the same length. Forget about going to Autozone of Advance Auto Parts to find a new cable. They don't have a clue.
