Lq4/4l80/np241 swap help

I'm getting ready to start my swap and I have a few questions. I'm using the pacific fab x-member and was trying to figure out location to mount to framerails. And what are my options for transfer case mounts? If anyone has done this swap in a 71 k5 ideas and pics would be appreciated.

Re: Lq4/4l80/np241 swap help

Check out my build thread on the K10. I used a dirty dingo crossmember, but used the 4L80E/NP241C combo.

Did you leave the trans crossmember in the original location and just lined up engine crossmember based on that?

Re: Lq4/4l80/np241 swap help

I moved all the crossmembers based on where I wanted the engine.

I used a factory shifter from an early 90s suburban. Moved the hole to the passenger side, and modded the linkage a bit to work. It works perfectly.
