Need advice / opinion on a 1949 truck (pics)
I'm normally on the 67-72 side but found a 1949 5 window 3100 truck. Looks to be pretty original with not too much rust. Owner has a title and says it was running about 2 years ago, but needs a fuel pump. I'm trying to figure out what a good price would be for the truck. My plans are to get it running, clean it up, enjoy it for a little and then pass it on to the next guy for hopefully a little profit. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

Awesome find. For reference I bought a standard 4 speed on floor that was 100% there but sat for 10 years in New England so it needs ground up resto. I paid 1500 in 2012. The patina on yours is excellent and I would keep it that way and dump the cap. Get it running and enjoy the ride. If you do get keep me posting progress and when you sell it PM me.

Hello fellow Arizonian and fellow Atkinson ( I'm Pete Atkinson ). By the looks of it, the owner might want more than $1500, but that's a good starting point. Don't lowball him too much or he might kick ya off his property LOL. Please keep up informed of your decision.

I hope you weren't going to offer $1500. I was just giving a price point. Here is some more truck prive information. I bought a Running Deluxe 49 in excellent condition for 10,000. I think you should offer something in between.

Thank you for the responses. I'm going to offer 2k. Based on the comments this seems like a fair starting point. I'll let you guys know if I strike a deal.
