Heater control valve location
I have a '71 big-block A/C truck with new inner fenders and want help properly locating the heater control valve. Does anyone have good photos or dimensions of where this is located. I have photos that give me an idea, but I'm hoping for better info.

Re: Heater control valve location
You can barely see it under the other hose. Should be on passenger side fender. Has a vacuum hose hooked to it and screwed into the fender well.

Re: Heater control valve location
Some fenders have the dimples in them for the valve. Here is another picture.

Re: Heater control valve location
Big block, small block the fender is the same. The mounting is the same spot no matter. Mine went where I put it wasn't worried about factory correctness. If you have the dimples then that's where it goes if not just put it in at a spot you like as I did. Well I guess if you can get some one to measure for you that would work also!

Re: Heater control valve location
Dan, here is my original big block truck. Looks like they missed the dimple from the factory, you can see it in the picture

Re: Heater control valve location
Joesjunk, what is that sheathed wire that runs parallel to the heater hoses?
Thanks, Larry
