Re: help no start need to goto work
Check the ground wire that comes off your battery and make sure it has a good connection to the frame.

Ground wire from bat runs to block and is tight.

Re: help no start need to goto work
Keep checking your connections. Sounds as though you have a bad ground somewhere. What about your hot wire that goes to the starter?

Re: help no start need to goto work
I'm trying to remember right off, doesn't the positive wire come off the battery and go to the passenger fender wall to a fuseable link? If so, check that link.

Re: help no start need to goto work
I have had this happen to me before. I would put money on the fusible link being bad

Re: help no start need to goto work
That's not a ground wire, it's a fusible link if it comes off the positive post of the battery. You can replace them but first check that there is no short to ground on the wire that comes off the junction block on the fender.
It's the one on the left.

Re: help no start need to goto work
Disconnect the two battery cables clean the contacts and hookup the two wires to see if that was the problem

It was the fusible link. Thank yall for the help. I am late for work, but oh well I get a long weekend now. lol
Mine wasn't visible it was hidden behind the battery. |
