draft shafts in 5.3 oilpan

I have a Saab 9-7x with the 5.3v8 & awd. I plan to swap the engine, trans, and computer into my 68 c10. The drive shafts passing through the engine oilpan made me pause in my tracts though. Is it as simple as buying a new oilpan or do I need to try a different 5.3 ls?

Re: draft shafts in 5.3 oilpan

You can just change the pan and pickup tube.

The 4L60E will have to torn half way down for a 2wd output shaft installation & Tail housing.

I didn't realize the transmission was going to be trouble too. Thanks for the heads up.
