Firewall grommets

Does anybody carry the firewall grommets for the heater cables that penetrate through the firewall? My truck was essentially stripped when I got it, and I have painted the firewall and I am at the point of installing the heater box. My truck is an A/C truck, and I'm not sure if the A/C and non-A/C trucks use the same cable routing.

The grommets I am talking about are:
1): The passenger side cable just outboard of the heater box that controls the large flapper door inside the box

2): The cable inboard of the heater box that comes out of the firewall near the blower fan. This cable controls the flapper door inside the blower outlet.

These are small oval-shaped holes, and in a pinch, I could just enlarge them to a circular shape and use a round grommet. I would like to find the OEM style if I could.

Anybody dealt with this before?

Re: Firewall grommets

check steele rubber products....they carry almost everything rubber related. The fitment of their stuff is great although not the cheapest on the market, but I dont mind paying for a quality part made in the USA.

Re: Firewall grommets

Thank you Alan, I really appreciate your offer, but I already have those. The ones I need are unique. They are about 1.25" tall, about .75" wide and oval-shaped. I will take a picture of the holes the next time I get a chance. I'm working a ton of hours right now, and I can't get over to the truck until the weekend.

Re: Firewall grommets

Haven't seen any reproduced in my 12 yrs of looking. I ended up making one from a regular round grommet.

Yeah, I'm thinking that's what I may have to do as well. It'll work just fine!
