Pickup Style Gas Filler

What do you think of patching the flip-door gas filler and installing a filler neck spout similar to the pickups? I saw a picture of a nice yellow suburban that had this. At first I thought maybe some burbs came that way, but it doesn't seem like they did. Maybe it is just me but the flip open filler door look too new for these style trucks.

Re: Pickup Style Gas Filler

60 & up had the filler door from the factory. 59 and older had the neck sticking out of the body. I like the door on mine. Round would have probably blended a little better but.....
