67 brush guard
Does anyone have one of these style brush guards? If so what is the dimensions of the flat bar it's made out of? I want to try my hand at making one.

Re: 67 brush guard
I have one, a Luverne, that I bought from a forum member who found it in a Washington state junkyard. Mine doesn't have the "outrigger" bolts though (I kinda wish it did).
I'll try get you some pics and measurements tomorrow when I work on the truck. I can even make cardboard templates of the part that mounts to the bumper.....that would be a big help when it comes time to shape that part of the metal. There was one for sale on the parts forum a week or so ago. |

Re: 67 brush guard
the brush guard in the above picture was a factory brush guard. I have one on my truck. 1/4 x 1 1/2 flat bar for all the top pieces. it would take me a little while to get you all the measurements for the bumper though

Re: 67 brush guard
That's what I needed to know. Thanks! I can kinda judge the rest of the measurements from pictures. If it's not too much trouble, can you measure how far the top bar sets back from the truck? Also a picture looking straight at the truck would be very helpful.

Re: 67 brush guard
the front of the truck is at the body shop. the cab is next to go. best I could do would be to take a few pics of the bumper and brush guard on the driveway. its pretty much about 3 inches from the grille and vertical to it

Re: 67 brush guard
That's fine. The 3 inch number gives me a good starting point. Thanks for the help.
