Tailgate bezel help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Need a little help designing a new tailgate bezel for our Suburbans. Can anyone measure how thick the bezel for the push button tailgate, liftgate button is? I want to try and reproduce one from aluminum that will be engraved with the word "suburban" or "chevrolet? Thanks in advance for the help.

plate --- 2 1/2" dia 1/2" thick
button - 3/4" dia 1 1/2" from the tailgate

It's diameter is 2 1/2, and at it's thickest point it's roughly 5/8. Hope this helps. I'd definately be interested in what you a describing.

Thanks for all the help guys, I'll post a picture as soon as I have one complete. What do you think would be more appropriate, "Suburban" or "Chevrolet" engraved on the face?

My vote is for "CHEVROLET".

It's a toss-up for me... But leaning towards suburban.

I keep toying with the idea of grafting-in the stamped "CHEVROLET" from a truck tailgate on my lower hatch, so if it was on the bezel too, it would be over-kill for me.

How about "ChevyBurb", it has the same amouint of letters as the word Chevrolet.

I'm interested, assuming the price is reasonable.

Food for thought, not all Suburbans are Chevys. You may consider coming up with a GMC version of the bezel as well.
