Sag 4 speed shifter arms

Hi guys, I have a sag 4 speed in the truck now and the shifter arms keep working loose. They seem to hit the side of trans and work themselves loose. Is there a special arm that goes into the trans for the sag? I have a hurst comp plus shifter and these arms have the normal rectangular slots on them. On the muncie I had the slot on the trans had enough of an outward flat I guess to but up against and tighten. Not so with this trans. The arms go on the sam but bottom out on trans. I need help please.
Thanks Mike

Re: Sag 4 speed shifter arms

I will do so tonight but ultimately it is a regular shifting arm that has the rectangular slot cut in it. The trans mates to that with the raised rectangular part. Hole in middle that a bolt threads into. On the muncie i was running same deal but a threaded part stuck up and had a nut on top. Except that the trans side had a stop on it. It stuck out trans enough to have a stop that kept it from hitting side of trans. What I am dealing with is too countersunk to tighten before it hits side of trans.

Re: Sag 4 speed shifter arms

Yeah, definitely need pictures on this. I have a Saginaw complete set-up I can compare to. Gotta see if it's all there. Could be you are missing a spacer or something isn't assembled quite right.
