Yeah, that's about what they go for. When I found mine from another dealer a couple months ago I was so tempted to sell it and use the profit for more parts but the good ones are so hard to come by.

I mean, we are talking a dashpad for the most popular GM truck built, not some rare hard to find vehicle.

One would think with the technology we have in this country today, a company could reproduce an exact copy of the original pad, not a floppy urethane or a plastic cover over the cracked dash everyone has. And produce it here in the U.S at a price that most could afford. Rant over.

Re: NOS 81-87 dash anyone? CL Houston

i can make a colored carbon fiber part if someone has a repairable original. I have a 70 C10 (actually my son's) and we're gonna do that for that pad.

Doesn't LMC still sell dash pads? just Dashes will restore the old ones, not sure what they would charge.

Re: NOS 81-87 dash anyone? CL Houston

I hate shipping nice used dash pads myself....I think over the last 4 years I've sold a total of 6 different perfect dashes-two 78's and four 81-up style and all but one was sold locally. I usually get $200-250 apiece out of them.
