Tank Float Sender Test 72 C10
It there a ohm test that can be made on the pickup/sender assembly out of the tank? I'm cleaning the tank and I've got the fuel pickup out so wanted to check that before I closed everything up. Sifted through some of the other sender posts but didn't see specifically on that. I had the cover off the electronics to check connections. Pretty nifty engineering.

It is a 0 to 90 ohm range. Test is pretty simple hook to the VOM and move the sender through its range and see what you have

Re: Tank Float Sender Test 72 C10
I figured that was the way it was supposed to go but I get odd readings through the whole sweep of the float arm. Course the truck has sat for 20+ yrs so I'm not surprised. I'll play w/ it a bit more and see if it settles down.
