wavetrac truetrac s trac ?
i bought the moser m 9 housing. Heard wavetrac is better than truetrac, and has lifetime warranty but people are breaking them. Midwest chassis, has a car running 9's on slicks and runs an s trac, has had it 4 years without a glitch. Can my moser housing accept the s trac? If not im stuck with wavetrac.... anyone have experiences with any of these? The truck is 89% street and the rest strip. I might put slicks on for the track. ill have mt s/r for street, t56 tranny, 1000 hp sbc twin turbo. Heavy 53 chevy truck. I dont think I will put it through too much abuse, but i would rather save myself the headaches. Thank you in advance gentlmen.

Why aren't you just using the tried and true Detroit Locker? As long as its a 9" part any diff can be installed as long as the spline count is the same.

I've been googling and googling and from what I understood the Detroit locker will be "clunking" around turns and waveyrac and strac are better for street/strip

Re: wavetrac truetrac s trac ?
If your making 1000hp and your exhaust is noisy there is no way you can hear it and its not a clunk clunk noise, its more of a click click click noise since its disengaging the gears as you turn the corner. Since were in trucks and the cab will be insulated I doubt you will hear it over the exhaust. Better to have a little noise then to start breaking stuff isn't it?

Re: wavetrac truetrac s trac ?
I have a moser M9 fabricated housing. I am running moser 35 spline axles with a Strange S Trac and Strange HD Pro Aluminum Case. Can't tell you anything else about it yet because it is at the rear end shop getting built.

O man, that's what I am leaning towards. Midwest chassis has a car running 9's on slicks with s trac 0 problems. They as well suggested the pro hd aluminum. I already have the moser m9 housing with 35 spline axles. I guess we will test it out together.

Re: wavetrac truetrac s trac ?
I bought everything from Summit and I purchased it all individually. I think the HD Pro Aluminum Case was $785, the S Trac was $995 and the REM and EDM polished 3:89 Motive gears from C&R Racing but I don't remember what I paid for them.
