Questions about New Wheels+Tires and Stance for my 1966 C10 - Please Help!

Hello,

I have a 1966 c10 short bed, fleetside. It has the axels, braking, and suspension from a 1981 C10 truck.

So, here is where the truck is heading at this point.

It will be red with a white roof. I want it to look more like a classic old truck than a street rod. I had planned on 15" rally wheels, but I think I want to update the wheels and tire size.

I am leaning toward a retro styled wheel, maybe chrome, but in a more modern (probably 18") size. I want the wheels to look like a combination onf1966 and 2015, if that makes sense. I want them to match the old truck perfectly, but look modern

-Questions

-What size wheels and tires can I use?
-Any suggestions on a wheel that would fit my needs?
-How would 18" wheels look with the stock ride height?

I may consider lowering the truck, but I'm leaning away from it at this point.

Thanks!,
Jason

Nothing?

I have used the searched quite a bit, but it seems that most of the photos that I find of c10's with 18" wheels have also been lowered, or at least I think they have.

I would like to see some photos of stock height c-10 with 18" or larger wheels.

Thanks,
Jason

Goto Tire Rack it will give image of a '97 for reference in sidewall height. But my rears are 3/8" shorter than stock.
295/45/18 rear 245/45/18 front. You probably want a 255/60 or 255/50. I run Nitto 555s they have a good size chart.

Thank you for the response and pictures. Your truck looks great! I like the wheels.

Right now I have 255/70-15 tires. It looks like a 235/60-18 would be equal in diameter, but it would be about .75" less in width.

255/60-15 seems about right but that size is more expensive, so I may go with a 255/55-15 or 245/60-18.

I like the looks of these Ridler wheels on this page

Posted by Leadfoot Lambert. I think the truck has been lowered a little, but I can't tell for sure. I really want to find pictures of a stock height truck with 18" wheels.

Thanks
