Ls Engine swap Motor mount and header question
I plan on pulling engine and Trans from 2011 Tahoe in my 69 gmc. What are the best motor mounts and transmission cross member to use?
Also, I want to put headers, how do I know if I need the block hugger or not? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Ls Engine swap Motor mount and header question
I put a 2003 4.8l LS motor out of a Silverado into my 68 C10, I used the 73+ frame mounts I found on ebay and the Dirty Dingo slider mounts for the same 73+ mounts and it worked great, I have to drill 2 additional holes in the frame to mount them but everything lines up awesome.
For headers I used the Doug Thorley Headers THY-324Y-C, they are specifically designed for LS swaps into C10 trucks. They fit perfect and required no alterations to fit and they look great. There is a lot of good info in the LS forums, check it out. |

Re: Ls Engine swap Motor mount and header question
thanks for the info on the headers H20cooled, I also plan to have vintage air AC in my truck. Too hot in South Louisiana for no AC.
