Road worthiness?
My 71 needs rocker panels, outers for sure not sure about the inners. Cab corners and mounts are solid. There are a couple small spots in the floor pan that will require attention. Is the structural integrity of the truck compromised because of the rocker panels? I plan on restoring the truck eventually, but need to use it as a work truck for now to remodel the house.

Re: Road worthiness?
(disclaimer) any damage to your truck may make it unstable hence not road worthy ... Without a picture how can we tell ? use your own best judgement .

Re: Road worthiness?
Your truck has body-on-frame construction. As far as roadworthiness goes, if all your safety systems (brakes, suspension, steering) are in good shape, you should be OK.

Re: Road worthiness?
You are probably fine as long as like truckster said, your safety stuff is working. If rusted rockers made these trucks unroadworthy, well a lot of us would be in big trouble.

Re: Road worthiness?
That really depends on your area and if it has to pass an inspection before being put on the road, or if the rust has affected your frame. Usually you just need all safety items working to be roadworthy, but in some places a rust vehicle isn't roadworthy.
