Turn Signal / Hazard Switch, please help!

Hello again! So, here's my next issue. The plastic turn signal switch inside the steering column stripped out where the screw holds the lever in place. No big deal, I'll just pull the steering wheel off, pull it out and replace it. Truck said "not so fast, hot shot."

The hazard switch in my truck is the little red plastic tab that pulls/pushes. I can't figure out for the life of me how to pull that switch assembly with that hazard switch in place. Help me please! Thanks!

attached is a picture to show you the part I'm talking about.

Take the 3 screws that hold the turn signal to the housing and the hole top assembly will come apart

Cool, I'll try that. Thanks

It's still not easy to get out, as I broke mine the first time I tried. Just be careful sneaking it out of there once the three aforementioned screws are out; you basically have to slide the red thing in and through so it means manipulating the whole assembly to do that without busting the red button off.

That 40 year old plastic gets brittle.
