Re: My 1962 C10 Custom Cab cleaning progress

I mean a thread based on codes and factory color descriptions like OEM4ME started in the thread you posted a link to. Kinda gets lost when the color is simply called red. It would allow new owners to see if the code on their plate matches the truck and shows them the color it's supposed to be. A little more defined.

Nice improvement. Its always a good thing when the cheapo repaint in a funky color disappears. The Custom option included a aluminum grille but the front bumper and hubcaps were painted white. The chrome front bumper and chrome hubcaps were additional options. IMO, your truck will look better with painted hubcaps. Glad to see you go the preservation route.

Ya I am all about the factory stock look for sure! Skinny tires and stock hubcaps for sure.....I also found the original seat material and I am going to get it correctly redo the seat as well. Most of the inside looks really good still and looks all original never messed with. I like the chrome hubcaps to and know the the bumper and caps were the same either way. I also just located and purchased 2 original front white bumper guards too. Seamiest jade to me is a very rare color for sure, I have not seen hardly any that color for sure and this truck was in the same family since 1962 till I just recently got it. will need to redo inside the bed in the book painted black as original and the rims as well.

Ya that is where I located it. I am assuming they would have it for a 1964 as well.

Thanks! I am very happy with the outcome so far, and it will even get better, best part of it all is that it was done with water to get all the old repaint off! Pretty happy about that.

Hows it going? New to this board and I love it. I'm looking for original seat specs for my 62 Custom Deluxe also. I've located the material, but can't find anyone who has a deluxe bench seat or the specs. Can anyone help? Would really appreciate it.

Thanks, hjmags62

Thank you for the picture. I was hoping for a little more detail as far as physical measurements from your stock factory seat.

Re: My 1962 C10 Custom Cab cleaning progress

Ya, I have not measured my seat sections yet, but others on this website may know that already and my truck is not at my house to measure it. Where did you find the material for your seat? Is it reproduction or original material? I found the exact reproduction of it. Let me know. thanks
