Stock Diff Pinion Angle
Can anybody give me the specs of the factory diff pinion angle in relation to the trailing arm mounting pads? Can't find a factory spec anywhere. It's on a '72 longbox. Thanks.

Re: Stock Diff Pinion Angle
No answers... there might not be a stock spec? Ideally, you'd have the pinion angle parallel to the trans output shaft when loaded. That may be a giant "duh" for you... sorry.

3 degrees up at the yoke or just match the trans tail shaft

Re: Stock Diff Pinion Angle
Thanks for the replies. It is kind of a weird question because I spun the centre section of my diff on the axle tubes and am trying to straighten it back into spec. This was at the dragstrip with my drag truck. Right now I have angles of about 4.2 degrees down on the tail shaft, 4.4 degrees up at the diff and a driveshaft angle of 0 degrees so I think I have it back pretty close.
