Ooops !!! Forgot the part number. Here it is 893-11022. Takes two rolls for small block headers and three rolls for big block.

It's good stuff. Used on headers on my burb. Cut down on under hood heat tremendously. I can touch headers while truck running for a second or two without getting burned.
Best of Luck, Jeff

Maybe this is a strange question , but how does it work, I mean, how do you put this on the headers?
Is is like sticky tape or something? Thanks. Cya, Edmond ![]()

Are all of you aware that header wrap can cut the life of your headers in 1/2?
Not only does it trap in moisture, but the trapped heat fateges (sp??) the metal and the welds. This is an item that in reality should only be used when trying to get the last ounce of power out of an engine. |

Longhorn is right, even the header manufactures warn you not to use them on street cars. They should only be used on open header race cars, the extra internal heat is suppose to help with exhaust scavenging.

A lot of the guys who ran header wrap at the track have switched to coated headers.

For leg protection...I guess that is a good reason.
I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the problems assosiated with the stuff. Jeggs Summit, probably even PAW for mail order, and if you want to pick it up locally, I am pretty sure all the major chains from auto zone to NAPA can get it for you. |
