Interior colors?

Does any one know the color code or the closest SEM color of the a-pillars that are kind of off white that's in the 73-80 trucks? The trucks that are two tone with the white tops seem to usually have this color on the roof and the a-pillars that I've seen.

Here's one of my faded a-pillars from my 78

Also my SPID that says the truck is light blue and frost white so maybe that's the color?

Re: Interior colors?

25W - XDD1 is the RPO for a blue bench seat - pillar trim should be color-matched to the seat option. Considering the special paint code, it's certainly possible that a different plastic trim setup was installed, but the RPO on the SPID would lead me to believe blue originally. Anyway, what you have there looks like parchment or sandalwood (from earlier trucks).

Re: Interior colors?

My 86 dually had blue seats but the same color trim as yours. I'm pretty sure it was all original when I got it.

Re: Interior colors?

what was the int trim code matt? I think slim's color is original also but can't find any info on the off white code/paint #'s for 78s. Data book (76) just says color-keyed and xdd1 is blue.

Re: Interior colors?

Parchment kinds familiar to me with these year trucks. I'm trying to figure out the color code for this to see if someone can make me a quart since I don't see it in SEM color codes

Re: Interior colors?

I did find similar info specific to crew cabs in the data book, but not relative to the reg cab p/u. But it means the stuff existed, was in the system, and could have easily made it onto reg cabs. This is pretty intriguing... Anyhoo - best bet is probably to take it to a paint shop and have them color match it. The closest color (in 73-80 wording) I could find for it is called "sand" - but I believe yours isn't sand. Sure LOOKS like 71-72 parchment. Anyway, color match, even if it's faded, is maybe the best bet. Love the special paint combo, bet it looks great with that interior.

I'll try to see if these guys in town can color match it. I'm changing the blue to red but I'm trying to keep it looking like it would have come originally in red and white...
