Pittman arm question
I installed a 1980 3/4 front end on my 1970 C20 (For disc brakes) with the old front end, truck went straight down road. With new front end it does the same but the pitman arm is clocked at around 1 in stead of 12(straight up). The way the splines are on the box this is the only choice I have. I am using the 70 pittman arm. How do you get it centered? You can't adjust the center link so not sure what to do next.

Re: Pittman arm question
make sure the steering box is centered, lock to lock. once this is done then look to see if the wheel is straight in the cab. if not it needs to be removed and centered. after that check the pitman arm to see if it is centered, if not check to see if the spline is twisted etc. after that look to see if the front wheels are roughly parallel to the rear wheels, if not get a 4 wheel alignment.

Re: Pittman arm question
Thanks for the reply. Did all of the above ant the steering wheel is 1/2 turn from straight so alignment shop it is.
