Flip kit brackets specs???

Does anyone have any specs or measurements on these flip kit brackets. I can make these in 10 minutes or less for free. I would get laughed at by the guys at work if I bought them for $43.

I would need the inside measurements of each leg and how much the hole is offset. It would save me time on figuring out the correct pinion angle.

Thanks

If you can make them so easy then what do you need our help for? I believe that is why the cost is $43. Because somebody took the time to measure them instead of asking for someone else to do the work for them.

Not everyone has the luxury of working at a fab shop so buying the parts is the only option. What exactly is the point of this thread? Seems like its sort of a back handed bash on a vendor who is selling them to other members. Or to make fun of member who actually had to buy some instead of making them. Even looks like one of his pictures too.

Re: Flip kit brackets specs???

It disgusts me when I see stuff like this and really hits a personal spot with me. Someone puts in the time and effort to make a product and someone else just wants to knock it off with an exact copy without putting any work in. I'd have a bigger laugh at someone who says they're a metal fabricator, yet they copy parts, than someone who just bought the part. Quit trying to impress the "guys at work", own up to the fact that you can't do it, just buy the product and support someones hard work.

I believe theres a few posts on here about that design being pretty weak. You can buy weld on perches from the parts store for about $20.

But not everyone has access to a welder. I havent heard anything about this set up being weak. doesnt mean its not, just havent heard anything. I bought a set from the guy selling them in the classifieds. Think I got them on sale for $35. He has pages of people buying them and I have yet to see anyone complain about them.

I agree, its complete BS if you want to knock off a part and ask for help doing it. You have a truck and access to the equipment to make the part. Roll your sleeves up and engineer your own part.

Also, I would NEVER run those flip brackets. They are not reinforced, and nowhere near as strong as those on the market that are.

Re: Flip kit brackets specs???

I had no idea that it was so wrong of me to ask a question about these brackets. Sorry for stepping on so many toes. It was not my intention.

I decided to flip it by reusing the stock parts.
