Still looks wrong. Return it and try elsewhere.

That's the issue, shipping it back to them is going to cost more than i paid for the bar!

I agree it looks wrong to, i have the correct year truck, i am fitting it correctly, but still it is not working.

Hi there, yes still have the issue with the front sway bar.

ECE said there new stock that had in was they same as they sent me but could not provide me with a photo or a drawing to compare with what they have sent me.

I have moved on to the rear suspension as i have sort of stalled on the front end because of the problem.

How did you get on with yours ?

Re: ECE Front Sway Bar Fitting Issues 71 C10

One thing I am noticing in those two pics is your A-arms don't have as much vertical area on the front of the arm and kind of rolls up to the flat area on top. If you look at the ECE pic, it has a much larger area that has a squared rolled edge. Looking at things now, my guess is the bottom part of the bushing is not sitting flush to the arm all the way around. This extra space under the bushing is allowing it to rock and push itself out.

Definitely the arms are not made the same a stock.

Re: ECE Front Sway Bar Fitting Issues 71 C10

Just went and looked at my bar and yours appears to be missing a bend. That would explain why mine comes 3" off the ground and yours does not. Yours seems to go into the bushing at the wrong angle.

To be honest that was going to be my next move, i am going to make some spacers up to fit between the arm and the underside of the bush. This would lessen the angle and also give a flat surface for the bush to sit on.

Re: ECE Front Sway Bar Fitting Issues 71 C10

I had a thought yesterday while cursing out my electronic fan controller.
What if you did the caster mod?
Or is that built into your control arms?
If your arms are not stock that might be why stock sway bars do not fit.

Thanks for thinking about me

Not sure what the caster mod is ?
The arms are stock replacement arms from CCP as someone had welded the bushes into my old ones, i stupidly put them in the bin when the new ones arrived so could not compare them.

I have made some angled spacers to do 2 things,
  1. Make the contact point flat where the brackets fit
  2. Make it a better angel for the sway bar

Here is the spacers

I have fitted them and it has fixed the problem
