New guy needs Speed Shop logo ideas.
First off, let me thank everyone for all the great info on here. This site is awesome, and has been a tremendous help so far. I'm not new to old cars, but I am new to these trucks. I'm located in SW Missouri, and recently picked up this 1970 C10. I am kicking around the idea of replicating an old Shop Truck or Push Truck, and want to paint a speed shop logo on the doors. I thought I'd post on here and see if anyone had any cool or witty names for a speed shop name. Thanks!

Re: New guy needs Speed Shop logo ideas.
Yeah, I tried that too. I saw a lot of trucks, cars, & designs, but only a couple shop names and I'm trying to come up with a different one. I've got a few ideas already for the design, but not the name. Was thinking something funny maybe like "Pist-N-Broke Speed Shop". Thanks.

Re: New guy needs Speed Shop logo ideas.
I see mostly logo design ideas given and, although you use the word logo, I read your post to say you are looking for name ideas. I can't give my best ideas because if you use one it will look like I'm copying you if I use it . How about SAE SPEED ? Kinda like saying "SAY SPEED" but more to it. Too far fetched? I'll put my thinking cap on.

Re: New guy needs Speed Shop logo ideas.
I think that the name has to be something that means something to you.

Re: New guy needs Speed Shop logo ideas.
I think it's cool and I'd love to have something on my truck. But I just can't imagine it ever looking right. It strikes me as wrong kinda like fake patina. On the other hand if you actually have a shop then it would be ok.

Re: New guy needs Speed Shop logo ideas.
I did this recently and made turned my C10 into a Chevrolet dealer theme parts chaser.
I used my name and local town. I still have to drop shadow all the letters, but you get the idea.

Great looking truck! I have a question about the tire size and amount of drop, your truck has a nice stance.

Re: New guy needs Speed Shop logo ideas.
The drop is an ECE 3.5/5. 2.5 spindles up front with a 1" spring, 5" spring out back.
The wheels are 15x8 with 4" BS with 235/75/15. However, I'm going to change that. On a 67-70, the rear end is narrower, as well as the front track width compared to a 71/72 with discs. In 71 when GM went to discs the track width was widened about 3/4" per side, GM compensated for this with wider rear ends. So you can't really tell in the pics, but my front wheels are pushed out farther than I would like so I ordered the same wheel for the front, just 7" with a 4" BS, so they will sit 1" back in the fender. In doing so I'm going with a 235/70 rear tire and 215/75 front, which will give a 27.95" tall rear tire and a 27.7" tall front tire, but the widths will match the wheels better. You WILL have to trim your control arms if your wheels have a 4" BS like mine do: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=609973&page=3 Should look like this after I get my new tires mounted next week.
