I found a 78 frame for a possible build. Will my 86 cab and bed fit without modification? I understand from research here the front frame horns may need to be trimmed for the 86 bumper. That is not an issue. My main concern is a straight bolt on for the cab and bed. Any help is appreciated.

It should be, only difference may be the rubber cab mounts. Seems like there is a difference there.

This is correct. The cab bushings are different, but they will work.
