Please help me indentify my motor!
The PO told me I had a 67 250! But I've trying to look up my casting number and nothing pops up online! And I sW a thread that says I have a 292 by looking at the number diagram They have
But I want to be sure! Please any experts on here please verify by my numbers Cast number: 3994257 GM 60 Number behind Distributor: F0805TPJ Thank you to those the can verify my engine type! I'm about to purchase a GMB water pump from summit racing and I want to be sure on what I have because I've been buying stuff thinking that I have a 67 250.... The motor mount on my motor sits behind my fuel pump, then it's the oil filter. I can't take pictures with my phone or else I would post one. |

Re: Please help me indentify my motor!
They will either be 4 or 6 inches tall. 4 inches for a 230 and 250 or 6 for a 292. That's all you need to know.

Re: Please help me indentify my motor!
You have a 250 then. The 292 would have 6 inch sidecovers and the fuel pump would be in the center of the block.
