Re: Title advice
In Arizona if you don't have title (you, him, or his brother) none of you own the truck.
Somebody does, just not you guys. Whomever was the last registered owner owns it. You can go bonded title, or apply as if you are a tow company (legal), but every scenario has it's drawbacks and someone could come claim their long lost truck. Probably not, but I would not put any more money into it till you get a title. You could be fixing up a truck for somebody else.

Re: Title advice
Cooper's right.Go to the DMV or whatever it is in MN and see about getting the owner's name. In TX its a form you can download. You can also research bonded titles, mechanic's, etc. liens, and so on. You may be able to store it for a while and do a storage lien. Supposed to be simpler than a bonded title.
It makes zero difference how its done in the other 49 states. |

Re: Title advice
This is some of the best advice yet. Figure out what it means in your state and make it happen. The differences are big between states. In Alabama there are no titles before 1975. In Georgia no title required on 20 years old or older. Etc. Figure it out for Minnesota. To me if brother #1 really wanted to get out he would talk to brother #2. Do you have any kind of written agreement or just a handshake on the "deposit"?
