need some help ac cab no wiring

I have a 72 that I just got and it has alot of wiring problems,it is a factory air cab and all of the ac stuff under the hood is gone except the heater box and the heater core, and on the inside the only thing left is the defrost hoses and the original heater control has all of the levers broke on it,and has no wiring at all, none of the heat or defrost works,so not much of the ac stuff left at all,my question is I have a complete wiring harness with the fuse box that I took out of a 72 non air truck can I change all of it over to the non air stuff I took out of another truck,if it will work I was going to change all the wiring and the heater controls and the heater box inside the cab and all of the wiring and change the heater box and heater core under the hood, all of the stuff I took out of the other truck was good and seems to me like this would fix all my wiring problems since there are several wires that are cut and damaged or missing and this would fix my heat and defrost as well, have any of you ever done this and will it work,i was just not sure if the heater boxes would still bolt up to the cab,not sure if since it had air is the cab different or is it the same and can I just change it all out, thanks a bunch for any comments or help

Re: need some help ac cab no wiring

The openings in the firewall where air flows through are different between a non A/C and A/C cab truck. You could possibly convert your truck to a non A/C, but you will need to modify the openings to match the Non A/C heater box openings. If it were me, I would try and find all of the missing components and just put it back to original.
