Re: v6 carb problems

Vintage, I'm pretty sure I went with a #68 from a #73 for my 305A.

The numbers I keep hearing are in the mid 60s. At least if you buy 2 or 3 sets to try in your 305 one of them might work in your 351.
I just put one on mine a couple days ago... haven't messed with it yet and it is MUCH better.

Re: v6 carb problems

Bringing this thread back from the dead! Got the Holley and adapter plate, just want to verify a couple things before I start cranking down bolts. It looks like I need to remove the studs from the intake manifold and bolt the adapter plate to it with the allen bolts that come with the plate, right?

Also, on the 6066gmcguy write up they mention replacing some fuel line fittings in order to hook up fuel to the carb. Was this needed with you guys' swap?

One last question, my truck has a glass fuel filter, although it's not really a filter. I've had a few older vehicles including a '66 C20 and I've never seen one of these. It looks pretty sweet but since it doesn't do much in the way of filtering so I want to switch it out but it should be good to run for a little while in the meantime with the new carb, right?

(Don't know why the photo pops up sideways, sorry about that!)

Re: v6 carb problems

I did a 4 barrel swap so I can't help with the 2 barrel, but I will say...ALWAYS put a new fuel filter in. That's Cheap insurance.

Yeah been checking out that page, answered a bunch of questions but still running into to some issues. I've got a carb thread already going so I'll continue there I guess...
