PIC'S of R134 conversion in my 71 Blazer

I converted my stock A/C system to R134.I rebuilt the whole A/C system and installed all the new lines and Sanden compressor.
I still need to evacuate and charge the system but here are a few pic's anyway.
I was rewiring the truck at the same time so those pic's are in the link as well.

All the pic's can be viewed HERE

I started with this.

The engine bay before.

Finishe A/C plenum.

It's a 92 speed density GM TPI system.
I wish it was a blower:p

BobbyK, where did you get your R134a conversion parts? Is there a such thing as a kit out there (everything you need to go R12 to R134a)? How much did the conversion cost?

I have a factory R12 system with a dying compressor, and would like to upgrade it to R134a. I have just never been able to find out what parts are required.

No "kit" per say but I got all I needed through Rick's pickup parts.Talked to Shawn there.
He fixed me up with all I needed.
Cost was about $800.00

If all that's wrong with your R12 system is the compressor I get a new one and stick with the orig. R12 system.

The only reason I converted over to R134 was because my whole system was was gone except for the evap. core.I needed all new parts so that's the only reason I went with R134.
