2WD Blazer/Jimmy Wheel Backspacing Question
Hi there
I want to order some wheels for my Jimmy that I have bought. What backspacing do I order? I am in New Zealand so I have no way of measuring this. I look forward to your replies. Thanks Clive |

Year is 1979
1979- I need to get this sorted out so I can order my wheels and get them into the truck before it ends up in a container.

backspace depends on alot of things, width of wheel? size of wheel? stock height? slammed? tire size?

if you used 3" drop spindles and want to run 15's you are gonna need a really negative offset (3" backspace or less) or you are going to need to grind your lower control arms down. 16x8 or larger you should be fine with 4"-4.5" backspace or so.

Will these be ok?
It currently has 15 x 8 Ralley's on but I want to put Eagle Wheels series 203 which at 15 X 8 has 18mm negative offset and 3.75" backspacing.
What do you think? i know the springs have been changed but am unsure if it has drop spindles. |

Re: 2WD Blazer/Jimmy Wheel Backspacing Question
Bringing this back up. Looking at either 18" or 20" wheels. (NOT 18 front / 20 rear)
18x9 with 4.5" back spacing 20x9 with 3.75: back spacing |
