BB motor mounts
Will I need to trim the frame rails in order to get these to mount?

Re: BB motor mounts
Factory BB mounts should bolt right in. Almost looks like you have it on the wrong side? Something isn't right...

Re: BB motor mounts
Well I had small block motor mounts on the frame and just bought these from another member on here as my plan is the put a big block in the truck. Any other thoughts they certainly don't line up without trimming?
Your post tells me that I need to trim the frame rail? |

Re: BB motor mounts
you peaked my curiosity so i did some digging. found a thread with some good info. my guess (i could be wrong) is you have a 67 frame. 68 was the first year of big blocks, the frames may have all been clearanced for both sbc and bbc engines 68 and up.

Re: BB motor mounts
Your truck must be a 67. The 67's have to trim for BB mounts, BB's first came on 68 models.

Re: BB motor mounts
I remember reading about the wider frames on the front of the 67's in a header fitment thread. Could that mount slip in and bolt from the underside of the frame.

Re: BB motor mounts
I know I'm new here, but have done a ton of framework. Make sure if you do trim the rails, you don't use heat, AND make sure you radius the cuts like they did at the factory. Sharp angles gather stresses, and then cracks...you don't want that.
