Quick Question!

hey you guys, i was about to order up some wheels, and i realized something, and decided i would ask the pros. I have AUTO hubs ( ) and i didnt know if i could buy real center caps for the front or do i have to buy the ones with holes in them. Can the little thing that says 4X4 be removed or not?

Also, The little thing in front of the rear wheel well, that i assume is from the factory, can that be removed? Or does it look bad underneath it? THANKS

The thing in the rear is there to keep rocks from chipping the paint. Don't think it was factory.

My 87 has them, and they both look like cracked paint. I will be removing them soon when I go to paint the truck.

My 83 has them too and they look like sh*t.
I think a lot of 80's trucks got them because I see them a lot.
There is a company that makes chrome replacements but I have never seen them installed.
I believe TD Performance sells the chrome ones.

I have not removed mine because I am sure the paint will be damaged with removal.

My 85 had them. I removed them with WD-40 and a single edge razor blade. Didn't hurt the paint either. Just take your time and make sure not to gouge the paint.
