newish 69-70 grill

I just picked up what appears to be a NOS 69-70 outer grill with a repro inner grill. I say NOS because it has never been mounted and it has the stamped letters in the horizontal bar. I assume this was one of the service replacement grills since the black lines do not extend to the headlights. It has some minor shelf wear but no dents or fading. The only bad spot I see is on the top (of course) there is a very shallow scratch but it is about 3" long. I tried to get good pictures for you to see. bought with the intention of putting on the 70' when the time came but if I could make a few dollars and help someone else with their ride I would let it go.

I also have original fender & hood brackets that could go with it as well as parking light assemblies. All of these are off of an original grill I have hanging up that the shell has damage. The parts grill is hanging on left and new grill is next to it on right just to show shine comparison.

What is a fair selling price for this? I know the last one I shipped out in wooden crate ran about $140 so I would have to keep that in mind as well.

Re: newish 69-70 grill

Does $750 including used parking lights and brackets from the original grill and shipping seem fair for this grill?

Nos would bring $850-$1000 to the right buyer.
But you can also get repop grilles with the Chevrolet letters,... So proving its nos may be tough.

Re: newish 69-70 grill

Thanks for the response Keith. I know it is a hard prove because of the box being gone that is why I am having trouble with the value. PO says it has been in his closet for 8-10 years. he sold the project and the new owner didn't want the grill, again this is all 3rd party. I don't think they offered a stamped grill back then b/c GM was still available. Feel free to correct if I am wrong. I actually was not aware they were even available in stamped aftermarket, until just now.

I just went to Classic industries and Manes websites and it looks as if the aftermarket grills, inner & outer with all the brackets comes to just shy of $700, plus shipping.

I will get my oem brackets and all down, blast and paint to put with it and list on the board in a few days. I think I have a better grip on it now.

Richard
