Vacuum reservoir Idea
Hello again everyone! I just wanted to share my latest Idea. Since I'm going to be running a stout Mechanical cam, power brakes might present a problem due to low vacuum at Idle, etc.... any way's, I found a used Oxygen bottle at the local recycling center, for a total of two bucks, and a hour's worth of work, here's what I came up with..... I am now making a saddle mount for it, and I'll probably mount it along the frame out of view, using hard stainless lines. unless I find a reasonable place to mount it out of the way.....
I'll add pictures in a few minutes, have to get to my morning meeting....he he....  Ben

If you have power steering then do the junkyard hydroboost conversion. Your truck will stop better than the vacuum booster could ever do. I only like vacuum boosters in a stock or very mild application.

Been there ... done this. I ripped the P/S pump/lines/ master cylinder hydraulic booster off of an 1983 1/2 ton with a 6.2 diesel.

Actually, I have an inline check valve that is made for stainless hard lines. I'll post some pictures of that tomorrow.

Vacuum lines don't even need hose clamps, much less hard lines and fittings. The vacuum itself pulls the vacuum hose tight against the nipples. The car manufacturers have hundreds of shapes and sizes to locate anywhere with little effort.
