Front speaker

Can I go the Best Buy and get a 4x10 front speaker for my 79 c10. Or is there a special bolt pattern? Looking for a good dual speaker. Any recommendations?

Re: Front speaker

Any 4x10 speaker should work in your dash. Rockford Fosgate 2 ways sound great up front. To me, 3 way speakers are too much treble.

Re: Front speaker

I was looking at the more name brand speakers, more so Kenwood. Problem is the 4x10 speakers come in pairs. would anyone be interested in going in on a pair?

Re: Front speaker

I have a single center speaker and a set of 6 x 9s in the doors. Should I get a dual speaker for the dash speaker of will a monospeaker be good?

Re: Front speaker

If you have speakers in the doors then use the single center speaker for a CB.

I've thought of doing that with mine. If only there was a way to do it without taking the dash out

Re: Front speaker

I found a speaker on line. I looked at the mounting of the kenwood and the holes will not line up. Just put my windshield in, so will not be easy to drill new holes. Just bought a Dual Voice Coil speaker. IT will be just fine

Thanks
