Did the H/J series trucks have "courtesy lights"
You know the ones under the dash? Also I don't seem to have the switches in the door pillar for the dome light....were they strictly from the light switch?

Re: Did the H/J series trucks have "courtesy lights"
On all the trucks that I drove or owned, there were never any switches in the door jambs. The only Dome Light that I can remember was over the back glass and operated by the Headlight Switch only. Although interestingly my '67 7500 had some kind of external Glove Box Door Light. I never got a chance to get it to work though.

Re: Did the H/J series trucks have "courtesy lights"
Thanks Bill, I don't have a glove box lid..... or fuse box cover.... not exactly sure what that area is supposed to look like..... the limited interior photo's I have seen there is a subtle difference one some at the transition from the passengers side ( glove box) right at the heater control area.... some seem to be indented there and some are not

The 66's and 67's had a map light that was in the glove box and there was a lens in the glove box door that the light would shine through.

I just recovered for the winter a cab for an 89 Brigadier that was spec'd for railroad maintenance that had the grounding switch or drivers door jamb.

Re: Did the H/J series trucks have "courtesy lights"
I do not own a truck but know about the trucks. As per my knowledge there are no switches on the door of a truck. In fact, when I transported my cars in trailer of a car transport company, in that trailer also there were no switches on the door.
