67 c30 76xxx original mile truck
Recently purchased this truck and its 100% original farmer owned truck I'm cleaning it up and deciding if I want to restore or leave alone. Factory 292 inline and 4 speed transmission drives like a solid truck and everything works. I'll post more pictures after Christmas what I'm wondering is can I use longhorn bed instead of the current dump flatbed? It is missing the hydraulic cylinder any suggestions are greatly appreciated

It looks like a 133" wheelbase. If so, yes you can put a Longhorn bed on it. You will have to add a bed mount frame stand up by the cab and widen the wheel tubs in the bed. Re: 67 c30 76xxx original mile truck
boy I would just sand it and put a coat of clear on it and leave just like it is.maybe a nice flatbed would be nice. yes a longhorn bed would fit on it,but you would never be able to match that paint on it. and it looks so good with that org. paint .

That truck is cool. Whatever you decide to do with it will probably be cool too. I wish I would have had the option of leaving my 68 C30 alone, but could not. Mine now has a short stepside bed on it. 1 year and a lot of work later.

I'd make sure it's mechanically safe and just enjoy it as is. Maybe scuff and clear the paint to preserve it as previously mentioned, but it's only all original once.

Your truck is pretty cool. i have one similar that I'm gonna cut down the bed-sides so it doesn't look like a grain hauler. How far are you from Springfield

Re: 67 c30 76xxx original mile truck
Updated pictures cleaned off the brown primer and coated it with linseed oil to preserve the original paint and previous work truck still has original cab corners and rockers just a couple patches to them sometime in its past everything appears to be original except the radio and the mirrors I recently installed even the original cigarette lighter is working.
