Brake assist
i have disc brakes all around my blazer and was wondering how much a difference brake assist would make over original power brakes?

Re: Brake assist
You mean hydroboost ? Works great on heavier trucks. Doubtful you'll need it with 4wd discs on a 6000 lb truck. Regular 4 wheel disc vacuum booster should be more than you'll ever need.

Re: Brake assist
I installed hydroboost on my 4 wheel disc Blazer, and consider it one of the best upgrades I have ever made. If you run oversized tires, tow with your Blazer, or have a performance cam that produces low vacuum, the stock power brake system will be overmatched, even with discs in the rear. I run one ton Dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear with 35" tires and can stop on a dime while towing a car on a trailer, with a high compression engine that generates very little vacuum. There is no comparison.
