Bad Influence on my Dad
About 3 or so months ago, I bought myself a 1969 C10 and now my dad has a 1969 GMC 2500. (I think thats what it is as that is what the side badging says)
Went to go look at it with him and it looks pretty clean. Definitely makes me jealous haha. Has both a Heater and Radio that I do not Currently it does not run but once Spring time comes around, He and I will start to work on it to figure out exactly what is wrong with the engine. It has a 350 in it with a 4-Speed. Will be bringing it home on Wednesday and I will upload some more pictures then. |

Very cool. This hobby can be very addictive as well as contagious.
On a side note, you said your truck doesn't have a heater, did it come from the factory like that? Heater delete trucks are quite rare and have some parts that are very very very rare.

Re: Bad Influence on my Dad
Brought the truck home today.
Here she is loaded up on a trailer and a picture of the SPID as well. Was dark by the time I got home so can't take any good pictures until later. Engine is probably toast as the guy said that last he checked (years ago) there was water sitting in the some of the cylinders. Picked up a parts truck to do an engine swap. Would have preferred to use the original engine but if I can't, then so be it. On a side note...I don't think I've seen one of these trucks with a headliner in it before. Matches the seats too. |

Re: Bad Influence on my Dad
Took off the head and discovered this.....
Guess its going to get an engine swap tomorrow. Had a crack about 1.5 inches long leading from #4's (I think) exhaust valve. Hoping to get the swap done tomorrow but never know what will slow us down haha. Oh and did I mention it was covered in rust? Cylinders were even worse. |
