New guy needs advice
Hello folks, just brought home a '70 C20 lwb no motor or tranny. Plans are to put the cab and front on a C10 swb frame I got. The frame is bare, it does have a 12 bolt rear end and front end, needs just a little TLC but all in all, it's pretty solid. I'd like to put some drop spindles on and some drop springs, not slammed on the ground but a lower stance. My question is, should I do what I have in mind on the frame first then start the tear down and body work on the C20? Would y'all recommend a order to go in?
Thanks for any help and info. |

Re: New guy needs advice
Sandblast prime and paint your frame first and x it out to be sure it's strait ,suspension ,then drive line /mechanics and when you get thru all that fun start with your cab.

Re: New guy needs advice
Id do frame suspension first that way when you put the cab on it will be close to ride height , that will give you inspiration to finish quickly

Yes, it's a five lug. The numbers on the frame say it's a '67 frame but as you can see it looks like a newer front end has been put underneath, with some jacked up bolts I might add.
The rear end is a 12 bolt that's not original, doesn't have the bolt on place for the panard bar. |

Thanks Grumpy, just wanting to make sure I'm going in the right direction. I've done a few Jeeps and now I'm getting into these beautiful trucks. Always loved the lines and look of the 67-72 C10's
