Bumper guard mounting question
I've been thinking about getting a pair of front bumper guards for my GMC, the short style like pictured, but I'd like to know how they mount to the bumper. I would want to mount them using the inside bumper bolts, but I don't really want to drill any extra holes in the bumper if that's how they mount. Any input is appreciated, thanks

Re: Bumper guard mounting question
I installed bumper guards this past spring using the existing lower frame bumper bolts. I too did not want to drill into my bumpers. There will be a small gap between the two, but I'm talking about 1/8". Be sure to not over tighten.

Re: Bumper guard mounting question
Thanks for the info. And just using the lower bolt was enough to sufficiently hold them on?

Re: Bumper guard mounting question
That along with a little bracket or clamp at the top. Goes over the top of the bumper.

Re: Bumper guard mounting question
I do remember seeing some hook type hardware shown with new bumper guards online, is that what you're referring to?

Re: Bumper guard mounting question
The upper bolt on the guard uses a clip bracket and bolt. Along with the lower frame bolt, it's going nowhere.

Re: Bumper guard mounting question
Good to know. I'll be keeping an eye out for some oem guards then. Thanks
