Just got back from the lyrikz pick and pull
Actually picked some of this up the other night, went back and got the wheels today.
69-72 Fenders, hood, core support, 69 grill (he made me take that lol) and 71 72 hood latch assy. American Racing 200S wheels 5x5 15x8's. I might put the wheels on my Astro Van ... cool huh?

Re: Just got back from the lyrikz pick and pull
Daisies! For the record, I never called them that, except now. Doesn't sound real tough, if you know what I mean. My neighbor is a Chevy guy and a great mechanic. He always had his wife driving Astro Vans that looked like mini-custom vans, Solid color paint with slots or turbines. Clean and nice, why not?

Re: Just got back from the lyrikz pick and pull
One of my favorite style wheels from the "old days" I have a set I got from another board member. The aluminum rim and the unfinished "spokes". They are 8.5 and 7's. I considered putting those on the Astro, but these being all the same size and the shiny versions seem like a better fit.
And Mark ... what pick an pulls? Hahaha!

You need to come out to LockDoc's Drag-n-Load.... Drag it out of the barn and load it in your truck. That whimpy truck wouldn't stand a chance though, you'd need a box van at least, maybe even a tractor-trailer rig... Open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week! LockDoc

Re: Just got back from the lyrikz pick and pull
Ok, I can respect your opinion. Now, how about respecting mine? I said I thought my neighbor's were cool and I meant it. Some may agree.
People said a Studebaker couldn't be cool, too. Cool is taking what the common folk consider uncool, doing your craftwork, presenting it to them, and watching their jaw drop. Been happening since the beginning

Re: Just got back from the lyrikz pick and pull
Sorry forgot to post nothing is for sale.
Not to get too off topic on the 67-72 side of things, but when it comes to "mini vans" I really like the looks of the Astros vs. any of the others because they mimic the large vans more than any other. I had a 99 I put almost 300k on. I bought the one I have now on a bit of a whim. I had been keeping an eye out for a 99 or newer version when the 87 (geeze I think its an 87? lol) came up for sale from a co worker. Kinda old, not really the interior set up I wanted, but low miles (low 70K). Probably paid too much, put another 500 bucks in to it fixing the air, radiator, tune, brakes etc etc. Gutted the conversion van interior and exterior (what was I thinking haha). And now, I have a vehicle I don't need, but probably cant sell because of the money Im in to it. Ill make it look a little "cooler" and keep it around to use now and again. Vehicle family members can borrow if the want and if someone offers me enough money that I don't lose my shorts ... its gone. Ok enough Astro van talk. Thanks for the pics Tim, all Cool vans =)

Re: Just got back from the lyrikz pick and pull
Ok. I totally apologize in advance. I know you said that's it for Astros, but I just can't help myself. I have to show this.
