First Start of LS motor in 85 C10
Here is the first start of our 2003 LS 5.3 with 178K miles in a 1985 C10. This will be my daughter's first car and she is helping build it. She wanted to be the first one to turn the key!
http://vid213.photobucket.com/albums...psggonvkyx.mp4 Notice at the end, my buddy is very proud of the fact that we are running this out of a gas can! We acquired this truck with no engine or trans. I think the last time it ran under it's own power was when W Bush was in office!! Now it lives again. This is just a trial fit and test fire to see if everything works and the engine was ok. Seems good so we will proceed with frame off now. I have named it SnaggleTruck 2.0

Re: First Start of LS motor in 85 C10
Well, there will be the many shake down runs as well as testing and tuning.....SSOOOOO she will get it eventually!! I just want to be a good Dad and make sure it's right before I give it to her.
Thanks for the positive comments everyone. Just finishing up the wiring. Adding some things like PW/PDL, Floor lighting, Dome light, etc. Then we get to take it all apart and make it pretty. My daughter has like tracing circuits and soldiering wires with me but tends to shy away from anything dirty. Once it's clean and painted, she will be helping a lot more.
