In bed spare tire
Trying to find a cool way to mount a tire on the inside of my fleet side bed! Any ideas?

Re: In bed spare tire
If it's a long bed, I always had the idea of taking another bed wheel well, flipping it upside down and closing the open side. Then the area in front of the factory wheel well, recess mounting it so the spare tire would sit below the bed rail line and be out of the way, yet easily accessible when needed.

Re: In bed spare tire
There was a factory spare tire holder that will hold it very securely in a vertical position. It uses a couple of the bed wood bolts and two holes into the inner lip of the top bed rail. I found one in the classified section here and bought it. Really like it.
You can do a search and find some photos of it. You can also find some photos of what Chevymike is talking about, it is really slick. |
