Re: Where can I get these bumper guards ?

Seems like I remember someone saying they don't make those anymore. Hard to find and expensive.

Re: Where can I get these bumper guards ?

They are a factory AD truck item as far as I know. Factory as in usually a dealer installed accessory. They come up for sale every once in a while but usually are fairly spendy and still sell fast.

I've got a beat up one that is probably too far gone for anyone with a degree of sanity to fix.

This one is pretty rough and probably won't be worth trying to rechrome

Re: Where can I get these bumper guards ?

These were available from gm and also aftermarket like jc whitney. Make sure you know what you are getting before you throw down the $$$. GM ones bring big money and are much higher quality. Typically you will find the aftermarket ones which walk a fine line on the description and will sound like they are factory pieces to drive price up.

Re: Where can I get these bumper guards ?

It might be harder over in the Netherlands but sometimes you can get lucky. I scored mine for $50 off craigslist. It needs rechromed but its nice and straight except for the bottom of the uprights where the scraped a curb. Its fixable though.

Re: Where can I get these bumper guards ?

There is a really junky set on Ebay right now.

After looking at the one I have for another member who needs parts I am pretty sure that the uprights interchange side to side. That means you should be able to buy a piece at a time and build one out of pieces.

Here is one on Ebay that is freshly rechromed and quite nice but quite expensive.

Re: Where can I get these bumper guards ?

That was a lucky and great score Root2812. I'm finding that even piecing one together is getting costly and that's with most pieces needing some degree of work. Like spread uprights from use (pushing other vehicles and such) that will need tweeking back somehow, etc.

I have found some really straight horizontals. They didn't seem to take as much abuse lol

Re: Where can I get these bumper guards ?

I was a set on CL about a year ago, guy was asking $150. Wish I had bought them even though I didn't really care one way or another.
